hi its me again. hee :)
just finished the conference day - oral presentation and poster presentation. alhamdulillah not too bad :) seriously I'm keep repeating doa nabi Musa tadi, because afterall He alone can give clarity in our speech and understanding to people who listen kan. dah lah I am the only female student in the room and the only international student wahaha. the others either the locals or British-born Pakistan ke apa yang seumpama dengannya lah.
i just feel like sharing few things that i observed here, how the people are very encouraging. small things that for me are actually significant.
- di tempat printing; printing and copying bureau at Roger Stevens building. pakcik jaga printing tu i'm sure is very exhausted, plus there's a short in number of workers on that day. but sekilas he looked at my poster and said, "oh thats so beautiful."
- after every presentation the audience will clap their hands. seems childish and cam apekah, but its how you encourage and appreciate people you know :) encik sebelah saya pun was smiling dengan bersemangatnya to me after I finished my presentation.
- when I was standing beside my poster waiting for it to be evaluated and people to come so that I can tell them about my project. its interesting to see how people respond to you, and how are you affected by it. ada orang yang eh dia ni nak dengar ke tak asyik duk pandang ke tempat lain, ada orang yang angguk-angguk "well that's very interesting." for those who really know what i am doing they will ask interesting questions, throw ideas and walaupun sekejap but you enjoy having conversation with them.
- some of my friends when I talked to them after my presentation they were like, "your presentation is really good." "you were doing great just now." dan sebagainya that I think thats a bit fishy haha because you yourself know how did it goes just now, I guess they are just being polite. but then again its how you encourage and appreciate what people have done. mungkin sebab diorang cam kesian budak ni not a native speaker td pun cam duk tesangkut bagi la can. eh dzon nya saya haha.
dan sebagainya. menarik menarik. oh well then again mungkin sebab engineering students like me do less interactions with people so I easily tertarik dan jakun sikit on things like this hehe.
its how you interact with people, kan? i just enjoyyy bergaul dengan manusia hee.
oh yes because I am really affected with this as well;
